Cheese Descriptions

SNOWDONIA BLACK BOMBER

The original extra mature cheddar style cheese from the Snowdonia Cheese Company in Denbigh, Wales.  The cheese is produced from cow’s milk & is made with vegetarian rennet; It has a thick black wax rind, NOT EDIBLE and a strong creamy taste that melts in the mouth.

PERL WEN

Perl Wen Organic Cheese was developed in 2000 and, when young displays the characteristics of both Caerphilly and Brie, with a soft outside blending with a fresh lemony centre. At this stage it has a delightfully creamy aftertaste.  It can be eaten at almost any age although as it ripens it becomes paler and develops a brown tinge and unique flavour with a soft, rich curd.  It is made by Caws Cenarth Cheese, a small family enterprise in the heart of West Wales by Gwynfor and Thelma Adams who have been farming the area for over 42 years. Suitable for Vegetarians.

Y - FENNI

Y- Fenni takes its name from the welsh town in which it was made - Abergavenny in English.  It is made from mature Cheddar cheese blended with whole-grain mustard and welsh ale.  Pasteurised cows’ milk is used.  It is matured in yellow in-edible wax rind. Suitable for Vegetarians.

PER LAS

Perl las is truly different organic blue cheese.  When young, it has a light taste and salty flavour and, as it matures becomes golden in colour and although still delicate, develops a stronger taste.  It fills the mouth with an array of exciting tastes and a long lingering flavour.  It is made by Caws Cenarth Cheese, a small family enterprise in the heart of west Wales by Gwynfor and Thelma Adams who have been farming the area for over 42 years.
